Momentum carrying over from the revelation of Shinn assembling Impulse Gundam goes strong as the episode begins. Shinn forcefully attacks the Gaia and Chaos Gundams with Athrun and Cagalli staring startled in the background. Apparently the Impulse was an even more top-secret weapon of ZAFT, because neither Sting, Auel nor Stellar even knew it existed. This confusion causes Shinn to dance in circles around them for a few moments.

Talia reminds that Shinn's orders are to capture the stolen units, not destroy them, seeing as ZAFT would rather have them back in one piece. While Shinn is confirming orders from Arthur on the Minerva, Stellar attacks.

Scenes shift, and we see a ship hidden in space. There we meet Neo, the new blonde, mask-wearing character, a Commander of the hijacker's ship.?While ZAFT ships prepare to launch, Neo orders the launch of the Earth Alliance's own mobile suits. They wreck havoc on the startled ZAFT ships, destroying many of them and generally making a big mess.

Meanwhile Stellar and Shinn are still in a tussle. The hijackers become even more frustrated when the remember that the explosions from the outside signal that they are supposed to be picked up by the mothership soon....and by the fact that they still don't have any data on the Impulse. Shinn gets cornered by them, and this is where Athrun decides to do something a tiny bit stupid.

He jumps in between the Abyss and Impulse, which,saved Shinn but gets him thrown away into a crumbled wall. Cagalli flies around within the cockpit and ends up with a rather nasty bump on her head.

Elsewhere, Rey piolets his Blaze Zaku Phantom, getting ready to go help Shinn. He first frees Lunamaria's Zaku Warrior from a pile of rubble. Chairman Dullindal unhappily is ordered to flee to a shelter, but instead takes refuge on the Minerva.

Sting orders Stellar and Auel to retreat when Rey and Lunamaria show up to back up Shinn. Stellar looks slightly psychotic as she stubbornly continues to attack Shinn. When she still refuses to back off, Auel sarcastically asks her if she like to just DIE here. The use of the word "Die" ?seems to activate something and causes her to freak out. Sting gets mad at Auel for activating the said the "Die" word on Stellar as she totally loses it and charges at the wall of the colony. As Shinn and the others chase after her, one of Lunamaria's vents explodes and she starts to loose altitude.

Athrun pilots his damaged Zaku over to where supplies, equipment and the wounded are all being frantically shuffled around. Cagalli regains consciousness,(... and while she still seems to have pain, all the blood from her wound has magically disappeared...0__0. ) Meanwhile the Captain of the Girty Lue (mothership) is doubting the success of the hijacker's mission. Neo sticks up for them, saying if there was any chance they would fail, he wouldn't have selected them for the mission. He then states that he's going out, to launch in his Exas (mobile armor).

On board the Minerva, the crew gets flustered that they can't even contact headquarters or manage to recapture the stolen units. Lunamaria docks with a smoking Zaku while Gilbert marches toward the Minerva, and Neo flies around in space in his Exas. He destroys random things with little mobile guns much like the ones on Muw's old mobile armor, Mobius Zero. Inside, Rey gets a strange premonition, like he sensed the newcomer's presence. (Perhaps like the old Muw/Rau thing, hmm?) Gilbert finally reaches the Minerva, demanding to know what is going ON here, and Talia is a tad surprised to see him.

Stellar, still psycho, starts frying a hole in the side of the colony. Shinn changes equipment into the Force Silhouette, pack as he, Lunamaria and Rey, continue fighting with the hijackers. Stellar's hole is completed when Sting missed Shinn with all his beam weapons, and blows this huge in the colony. Gaia, Chaos and Abyss are sucked out immediately, and Shinn and his friends follow, even though the Impulse is dangerously low on power.

Athrun also docks aboard the Minerva, and everyone wonders who he and Cagalli are or what they're doing there. Lunamaria greets them with a handgun, demanding to know who they are and such. As Minerva launches, Athrun tells Lunamaria the he is Alex Dino,?Cagalli Yula Attha's bodyguard. It appears that while he's been living in Orb with Cagalli, he's been living under a faux name (and a funny one at that ).

Shinn floats, a tad dazed, in space looking for the stolen units, as signal flare are fired from the Girty Lue telling the three hijackers to return. Neo lies in wait, and seems amused by the appearance of the unknown unit: the Impulse.

As the episode wraps up, Stellar is still suffering from the affects of the "Die" word, Rey gets the premonition sense again, and Lunamaria escorts Athrun and Cagalli to the bridge, and more battle taking place outside. When the Minerva slips into Condition Red Battle stations, Cagalli accidently calls Athrun by his real name, and Lunamaria catches it. Does she realize who he really is???

Phase-1: Enraged Eyes

We're introduced to Destiny by a brief recap of the invasion of ORB. A young family, the Asukas, is seen fleeing to the docks while Calamity and Raider fight with Freedom from above. During the rush, Mayu (the daughter of the Asuka) drops her cellphone as it rolls down a cliff. Mayu refuses to part with her cellphone and Shinn (the older brother of Mayu) decides to retrieve it for her. However, once Shinn picks up the phone, an explosion occurs near him and he rolls down the cliff which happens to be near the dock. An ORB officier awakes him and Shinn reawakens. He is surprised by the hole made by the explosion and goes in search for his family. All he could see were the corpses of his mangled sister, mother, and father. He screams in agony as he looks up in the sky, vowing revenge on the Gundam that did this. To whom it seemed at the time, Freedom.

We are given a brief explaination of the events of Seed. Destiny begins at C.E.73.10.2 (October 2nd of the 73rd Cosmic Era year). Cagalli Yula Athha, now Head Representative of ORB is seen in a transport plane going into PLANT. While on Armoury One on PLANT, ZAFT is preparing it's . Youlan and Lunamaria are driving on a ZAFT Jeep when they almost crashed into a ceremonial GINN. We catch a glimpse of ZAFT's newest battleship, the Minerva, with it's captain Talia Gladys, and co-captain, Arthur Trine. Head Chairman, Gilbert Dullindal arrives in a ZAFT transport plane, as Rey rushes up to watch him from a distance.

Cagalli Yula Athha and Athrun Zala (under the codename Alex Dino) arrives to have a talk with Dullindal. In the crowd we also see 3 people, Sting, Auel, and Stellar. Cagalli requests that Dullindal cease the use of ORB to aid his construction of new mobile suits. Meanwhile, we see the trio from before (Sting, Auel, and Stellar) walking down a street. Stellar gets sidetracked by a shop and accidentally crashes into Shinn, with his couping her breasts. Stellar gets angry and runs off, while Youlan (one of Shinn's friends) makes fun of him and calls him a, "Lucky Pervert."

Cagalli continues her talk with Dullindal as they walk along Armoury One. She claims that excessive power only leads to conflict. Dullindal disagrees and states that power is neccessary because conflict will always exist. Meanwhile the trio before, with the aid of some ZAFT officers manage to breach into a storage house with the new prototype Gundams, Chaos, Abyss, and Gaia. The three brutally kill off all the ZAFT officers there and launches in the 3 new units. An explosion is heard as they blast their way out, destroying several warehouses. ZAFT begins to futilely defend themselves with GuAIZ Rs, DINNs, and Zaku Warriors.

Athrun and Cagalli manage to be cornered by the Chaos and Gaia Gundam. Refusing to let them die in such a fashion, Athrun forces Cagalli to enter a Zaku Warrior with him as he attempts to fight with Gaia. He manages to dodge a few blasts from her Beam Rifle, and knocks it out of her hand with a hard tackle. However, Gaia uses her Beam Saber which Athrun attempts to block with his Shield and Beam Axe. The Zaku proves inferior and Athrun gets knocked back. To make matters worse, Chaos also approaches from behind. The Minerva gets a call to send aid to Armoury One. Talia orders the Impulse to launch as we see 4 pieces coming out of the Minerva.

Impulse's Core Splendor fires it's missiles at Chaos to prevent his advance on Athrun in his Zaku Warrior. The Impulse combines it's head, core spelendor, legs, and finally his sword silohette backpack. Impulse combines it's two Anti-Ship swords and twirls it above his head. He questions why there are people trying to make another war. He advances to combat Gaia.
